Writing | To Be Read

Below you'll read about my experiences and future writing plans

♦ Technical Writing

Technical manual writing vastly differs from story writing, it's structured with clear, concise and unambiguous language, tight grammar and measure technical language.

To Be Clear - Reader must understand what you write, and never infer information. Use language that speaks for you, instead of deciphering your intentions.

To Be Concise - Short and punchy texts that capture meaning, capture your reader. never go on and on about something that somewhere from and has tangible writing to it, while also there are moment when you think, "hey this reads kinda long, could this be more Concise?"

To Be Unambiguous - I'm not going to repeat my statement about clarity and conciseness, or I'll be breaking this rule. Never present the same information twice, unless it's absolutely unavoidable.

♦ Story Writing

Below you'll find a drop down menu with all the stories I have in mind. The diamond ♦ before te names indicates I'm currently writing the story.

To Be Touched - I discovered writing in show and with emotions that I hit a snare. I becomes a character at body and mind, feel their sadness, anger and fear. Cry along them when horrors happen and experience dread with a cathartic twist at the end.

To Be Explored - While true ADHD and Autism causes social barriers drains energy and nullify at times. it's story writing that unwinds me. It shakes me loose as my emotions are cast on paper.

To Be Journalling - Journalling focusses on your day. but why not translate journalling into a book? This a outlet becomes a therapeutic tool, a tool with which I write an experience I want you To Be part of.

♦ Stories I'm writing

♦ show current projects in progress. The other are on hold.

♦ Point Zero - The Atlas Principle

Point Zero - The Atlas Principle is about two technologies.

How an infiltrator's ambition comes to his downfall.

And how the Atlas struggles to keep the heaven and the earth apart.

Icarus was tasked to destroy Calypso—an artificial intelligence aboard the “Atlas”. There, where one-hundred-thousand prisoners are transported—to god knows where. On that faithful day of Calypso’s destruction, Icarus made an ambitious mistake and burned his wings.

He’s arrested, placed before Calypso for interrogation, and sentenced to death. Later, guards drag and strap Icarus into an executioner’s chair. He hears a hum followed by an electric fizzle; He opens his eyes smelling of burned copper and cackles like a maniac. Calypso frowns as she appears in her augmented form. She’s curious about the peculiar device in his neck. Once near, she strikes a finger along it and connects. Icarus draws an evil grin.

Calypso’s eyes widen when detecting malicious software. She spasms and yells her digital lungs out and must find a place to upload herself before disintegrating—but, where?

Meanwhile, the Atlas drops out of FTL. The hull thunders with ravaging explosions, decompression and everything is on fire—the Atlas struggles to keep the heaven and the earth apart. And Icarus—Icarus blacks out.

- A long, dark, silence follows. -

Icarus awakens and shivers from the cold. He groans, gathers his strength, and crawls down a hatch to drop into the shadowy corridors of the Atlas. Up ahead flickers a light in a misty corridor. The walls creak at the seams as a chill runs down his spine. The eerie silence weighs his thought—“Where am I?”

Shortly after, Icarus wanders through the Atlas corridors—Until… A cone illuminates an overall-clad body with a number stencilled on the back. Icarus’s heart thumbs as the malformed corpse crawls with machinery coloured in a strange kaleidoscopic hue. He swallows at the harrowing sight. “What happened here? When speaking, a deeper fear awakens. A warm glow wraps his neck as it slowly meanders up—until a voice speaks inside his head. “Icarus, are you all right?”

His thoughts race with impossible uncertainty. “Have I heard this voice before… Have I?” and then he asks with hesitation. “Who… who are you?” She speaks as if she has known him for decades. “It is me, Calypso. We have been surviving aboard the Atlas for the last few weeks. Can’t you remember?” While shaking his head, Icarus gains an uncanny solace listening to her as if she’s a guardian angel seated on his shoulder. “She may help me…” He thinks and asks, “Where are we?” The inevitable question brings the walls closer to him as his eyes widen with disbelief. A face flashes before his mind’s eye.

And she says… “Welcome aboard the Atlas. Infiltrator.”
